Dr. Bajwa's lecture series addressed the rapid integration of AI in healthcare. He explored how AI is shifting from a mere diagnostic tool to an active collaborator across the care continuum, supporting clinicians in decision-making, supply chain management, and administration. The core message focused on how predictive and cognitive technologies will enable more personalized patient care while transitioning clinicians toward more empathetic and strategic roles.

McKenna Lecture 2024
Based on his experience serving on the White House COVID Joint Acquisition Task Force, Dr. Handfield shared insights on the fragility of the medical supply chain for medical products and medicines. He drew from his experiences as well working with the SMI Council, the FDA, and other members of his executive network, in describing the requirements to build “immunity” to disruptions that threaten the resiliency of our nation’s medical supply chain. His recommendations for policy and incentives were also be described.
